Emergency Care When You Need It the Most.

We are immensely proud to be able to offer our own, on-site out of hours veterinary service in Loughborough.

At present this is available to our registered clients only as this is manned by our day staff.

We thought it would be useful to give an idea of what constitutes a true veterinary emergency:

  • Any animal which is collapsed or unable to get up

  • Significant breathing issues meaning they are struggling to breathe

  • Obvious injury such as broken bone or eye damage

  • Vomiting that is causing your animal to become lethargic and they have had 3 or more episodes in the last hour

  • Seizuring

  • Choking

  • Straining to urinate and not producing any urine – this is particularly for male cats

  • If your pet has eaten a known poison or an object that could cause obstruction of the gut

  • Continuous bleeding, be it from a wound or the nose and mouth

  • Difficulties giving birth for pregnant animals

  • Anaphylaxis or severe allergic reaction

  • Flystrike in rabbits

In the event of a genuine emergency please call the normal telephone number and you will be directed to one of our vets on 01509270997.
